The Focus of the game
Today I want to share with everyone the focus of the game. What I will focus on when developing the game and the core philosophy of the game.
So the core of the game is the freedom to make the factory you want, whatever that is.
I have explained the money system in an earlier post so I will not go over that here.
I will explain the mechanics, though.
First, the size.
The size of the tile is extremely important in the design of the game. I wanted the game to be fun when you optimize your factory. So the harder that is, the better.
So the main component of the conveyor is the same size as some of the factories, very big since you have to use it alot. This problem is going to be much worst because I will not include a conveyor that bends 120 degrees.
Second, the hazards.
But I don’t want the game to be a management game, so I won’t include “enemies”, things that actively make you lose. Most hazards will be environmental like asteroid rings(will be coming next update) that cuts you off some part of the map but not completely.
And most levels will be about producing with a certain efficiency. You will have an unlimited time to do it. There will be no timer(mostly, some important level will have it).
So the game will be a sandbox-puzzle game.
